About Me
I moved out to this beautiful land in Marshall, NC in the Summer of 2024 after living in Asheville for 10 years. After nearly a decade of owning the West Asheville restaurant, Haywood Common, I was beyond burnt out and couldn’t stop thinking about how badly I wanted to escape my dark little office and work my days outside like the farmers who brought in our produce did. They looked tired and sun beaten, dirt under their fingernails, but always a look of peaceful satisfaction on their faces.
The land was calling, and the louder those calls grew, the more glimmers appeared that led me here to this enchanted holler. Surrounded by dappling creeks with pools to submerge, embraced in forests and open meadows and a big sky for the stars to illuminate, the moment you come here you can feel it. The weight of the world does not follow you across the bridge, and your truest, wildest self is given permission to come out of hiding.
I dream and feel in a big way. I think the power of the connected collective is what is needed to help heal the earth. We can learn from one another and grow together- stronger, wiser and safer together. We need space to be the fullest, most authentic version of ourselves. We can’t stay confined for too long, and this land is calling for you to be wild.

Common Collective
Beginning this April, we invite you to join us as we come together in sanctuary from the outside world the first Sunday of every month from 11am-3pm for our potluck brunch. We’ll be frying up chicken and tofu each week, bring a side or just yourselves. Children play freely while we ground ourselves back to the Earth in the support of each other’s company. We are extending this space in honor of the importance of having opportunities for gathering in community connection. Please reach out if you would like to be included in our collective updates.
